My House is Destroyed

KPLC (Lake Charles) Meteorologist Ben Terry helped keep viewers safe during hurricane Laura by getting information out.

Terry also made it through the storm without getting hurt, but his house took a direct hit.

“My house is a total loss in Hurricane Laura,” he posted on social media.

Just before the storm hit, Terry took this picture of his house:

Less than 24 hours later, it looked like this:

The good news? Terry was able to take that picture and was smart enough to evacuate his home before Laura came onshore.

It’s just another example of why hurricanes are not to be messed with.

Sorry, this happened to you Ben, but we’re glad you were smart enough to get out before the storm.
