Life After TV News...
/Back in April, NBC10 Boston and NECN told meteorologist Michael Page that his contract was not renewed.
After 5 years at the station, he was out of a job in the midst of a pandemic.
But Page has found his next gig and the job is more stable and the hours are much better.
Hingham Jewelers announced that Page will serve as the Head of Business Development and Long-Term Strategic Growth. His primary focus will be digital growth for the store, founded by his maternal grandparents, Angelo and Helen Manjos.
He joins his parents, second-generation owners Stacey and David Page, and a team of specialists with over 100 years of collective experience.
“Having a third generation join a 72-year-old business is a testament to the longevity of Hingham Jewelers. I know my Mom and Dad could never have imagined the legacy they began in 1948. As parents, we couldn’t be happier or prouder,” Stacey says.
“I grew up in the family-business, cleaning the showcases after school as early as second grade, and working straight through high school and college breaks,” Page explains. “Even while working in TV I’ve continued to help behind the scenes, with things like social media, the website, or accompanying my parents on buying trips,” he adds.
The good news, in his new job he won’t be called in and told his contract is not being renewed.
