NBC Commentator Diss Against Women Land Him in the Penalty Box

Here we go again….

NBC Sports hockey announcer Mike Milbury made an insensitive comment about women and now he finds himself in the penalty box.

During a recent game, Milbury and analyst Brian Boucher were discussing the benefits of the NHL's playoff bubble.

"If you think about it, it's a terrific environment with regard to -- if you enjoy playing and enjoy being with your teammates for long periods of time, it's a perfect place," Boucher said.

"Not even any woman here to disrupt your concentration," Milbury responded.

Shortly there after the NHL released this statement:

NBC released this statement from Milbury, acting as if it was HIS idea to step away, it was not:

This is not the first time that Milbury has made a disparaging remark about women. We can only hope that it is the last time and he never sees his way into another broadcast booth.
