Ambush Layoffs in the Windy City

Insiders at Chicago’s WLS says that a number of staffers at the show Windy City Live have been told that their furlough is now permanent.

One staffer describe it as”Ambush Layoffs” at the ABC O&O.

Many WCL staffers were furloughed back in mid-April and one staffer says that management “guaranteed” that they would be brought back.

It now appears that is not the case.

Windy City Live has aired on WLS for about a decade.
