Back in 2017, FTVLive told you that Lisa Benson a Reporter with Scripps owned KSHB (Kansas City) had filed a racial discrimination case against the station.

She ended up winning that case, but she is not quite done with telling her story.

Benson has now written a book titled “Anchored in Bias: Fired Over White Tears” and telling her story. But, she doesn’t stop there.

Benson’s book is a transparent evaluation of systemic racism and the anti-blackness that exists in cities, neighborhoods, and newsrooms throughout the United States.

Benson was sacked by KSHB after she shared an article on her personal Facebook page entitled, “How White Women Use Strategic Tears to Avoid Accountability” written by fellow journalist Ruby Hamad-an article that offended two of her white female coworkers, which ultimately got her fired.

Now she is telling her story and pulling back the curtain on racial injustice.
