The Inbox- TV Life

There is an Instagram page that is titled “TV Life” and one longtime TV newsie is a bit perplexed by the social media site.

I sound like a grumpy old man, but have you looked at this Instagram page?

It is essentially solo shots of 20-somethings posing in their tv attire. 

There is no “tv life.”

No messy desks or old scripts; no view of the gas station from the front seat of the live truck where you’re cutting your track; no pics of conducting an interview or showing viewers the vantage point from the anchor desk. 

I get it - it is an “insider page.”

And I’ll own that my own Instagram is pictures of my dog, cars, ect,. But I don’t market those things as life in tv. 

I don’t know. Maybe I’m getting too old for this industry in the current state In which we find it...and doing so at 37 - sheesh.
