Cox Falls Off Dish

It has been a while since we had a retransmission pissing match, but we finally do.

The Cox stations have gone dark on the Dish Network as the two sides argue over how much to gouge the viewer and split the money.

In a statement Cox said, “During these times of uncertainty, it is more important than ever that our viewers know their trusted local stations are there for them, providing the news and information they need to make decisions for their families. CMG stations take pride in being resources for our communities, and we will fight to continue to fulfill this responsibility.”

What they don’t say is that they are asking for Dish to give them more money per viewer than they were giving them.

You see, your “ trusted local stations are there for you” as long as you cough up some more money.

Eventually, Dish and Cox will come to an agreement, the details of which will never be announced and then Dish customers will see their bill rise yet again.
