The Firm’s WFLD in Chicago says that they are starting up a new 4PM newscast to try and r̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶p̶o̶l̶i̶t̶i̶c̶a̶l̶ ̶a̶d̶ ̶d̶o̶l̶l̶a̶r̶s̶ give the viewers more news that they crave.

The new 4PM cast will launch August 3rd.

“Chicagoans deserve more than just sound bites to understand the unprecedented news currently affecting them. We will continue to deliver the news of the day, but with deeper explanations and perspectives from our experts, viewers and journalists,” WFLD News Director Matt Piacente supposedly said or had the creative services department write for him.

The newscast will be anchored by Anthony Ponce and Sally Schulze.
