It's About Time for Dad
/KYW (Philly) Reporter Trang Do tried putting a guy on blast for yelling “Hi Dad!” in the middle of her live shot.
FTVLive has spoken out against people interrupting Reporters, yelling shit like “FHRITP” and other vulgar things, but this time we are sticking up for the guy that gave a shout out to his Dad.
First off, going back years and years when live shots first started happening, people would often see the camera and yell “Hi Mom!”
It is nice to see Dad get a little attention for once.
Second, you are set up on the street and this guy is riding his bike on the same street. You have every right to be there and so does he. You have a right to say what you want and so does he.
There is a lot of shit happening in this world and sadly the media has become a big target thanks to having a President that refers to us as the “enemy of the people.”
But, a guy riding by on his bike and yelling “hi” to his Dad does not deserve to be called out. You’re a News Reporter working in the street, you have to be able to deal with stuff like this. Is it annoying? Sure, but Reporters have been dealing with this for the past 60 years. It is part of the job for a beat Reporter.
People boo the quarterback at a football game and I’m sure he doesn’t like it, but he deals with it and does his job. This guy was on a public street, said “Hi Dad!” and then kept riding. He doesn’t deserve to be called out and you don’t have to make it about you.
This time, I’m sticking up for the guy in the background.
Also, I want to say hi to his Dad as well.
