COVID in Quincy

Insiders tell FTVLive that the staff at WGEM (Quincy, Illinois) is a bit on edge after learning that an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

“Employees are very frustrated because all management did was send this email and expect employees to come in and act as if all is normal,” said one staffer to FTVLive.

The stress level for people working in TV news right now is very high. When you get memos like this one, it takes it up another level.

Also, due to HIPAA laws the station can’t tell you the identity of the employee infected and that adds to the stress level.
