A Teachable Moment?

Yesterday, FTVLive told you how an employee at WKNY (Bowling Green, Kentucky) took a station vehicle to Home Depot, parked the car and went inside.

They left the station dog Soky that was locked in the hot car as the temps were north of 90 degrees.

As Soky was panting inside the car, a viewer was shooting video and calling the police. The cops showed up, but basically did nothing and left.

After FTVLive posted the story, WKNY addressed the issue with this post:

How is this a “teachable moment”?

Don’t get caught locking a poor dog in a station car?

You don’t leave an animal in a hot car, If you have to be taught this, then you are too stupid to even be driving anyway.

The station says that they “take animal safety very seriously” when obviously they don’t.

Yes, I’m still pissed off about this, and judging by the viewer comments on the station’s social media pages, they are as well.
