Former Norfolk Anchor is Dead

Some sad news out of Norfolk…

Jane Gardner who worked at both WTKR and WVEC in the market has lost her battle to cancer.

Gardner, who anchored the news for decades in the market, took on cancer 5 different times. Despite those 5 battles with the ugly disease, Gardner had such a positive attitude about her battle.

Back in 2015, she told WTKR about her ovarian cancer diagnosis, saying, “There are people who are so much worse off than me. I feel very fortunate that I didn’t die the first time around or the second and I’m here today having really had a really wonderful life and we’ll see what happens. A very wise man once told me, just live every day."
