News Nation Names Their Anchors

As Nexstar inches closer to launching their national cable newscast, they are now naming the Anchors that will front the cable show.

WGN main Anchor Joe Donlon will be a lead anchor on “News Nation,” which is set to debut September 1. He will be joined by co-anchor Marni Hughes, who comes in from KCPQ in Seattle.

The weekends will be anchored by former WFOR (Miami) Anchor Rudabeh Shahbazi and Nichole Berlie from WCVB in Boston.

Nexstar is promising a straight-up non-partisn newscast which will be vastly different from what you see on Fox News, CNN or MSNBC.
