Cutting Back on Master Control

Word is that Nexstar plans to have most of their stations’ master control working from hubs by the end of Summer.

The goal is for Nexstar to all their master control and hubs down to just 5 locations. The 5 hubs are expected to be in Springfield (Massachusetts), Spartanburg, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Denver. 

Many stations have been using remote hubs and Nexstar has been a big player in hubbing out their master control.

Not sure how many people that this will put out of work, but I would bet the number will be fairly high.
