Pittsburgh Penguins Boss Saves Photographer
/A group of protesters starting beating KDKA Photographer Ian Smith. They were throwing him to the ground, stomped on his head and his camera was smashed to pieces.
It was all happening outside the PPG Paints Arena in downtown Pittsburgh, where the NHL Penguins play their games.
Penguins president/CEO David Morehouse saw Smith getting beaten and stepped in. Morehouse dragged the Photog inside to safety before he was transported to Mercy Hospital.
Smith tweeting a picture of himself giving a bloody thumbs up from the back of the ambulance.
Smith didn’t find out later that it was the Penguin’s big boss that pulled him to safety.
Hockey season hasn’t started yet, but I think we can agree Morehouse might have already made the save of the year.
