This is Tegna...
/Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo and I’m guessing that most people don’t really know what Cinco de Mayo stands for and what it is in reference to?
The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.
Or, if you are the Anchor at the Tegna station in Tampa it is the day you take off your shirt, look away from the camera in a far off gaze, and declare yourself, “Awesome Sauce.”
