Masks Are Voluntary

Like many red states, Texas is opening back up and so is Nexstar’s KXAN in Austin.

KXAN General Manager Eric Lassberg sent a long memo to the staff, talking about how the station Is going to let more staff into the building.

The CDC recommends that people wear masks while out and about, but when it comes to wearing masks at the KXAN, it appears that it will be up to the employees.

“Wearing a mask is voluntary and up to you,” Lassberg says in the memo.

Here is a portion of the email to the staff, the rest of it was pretty boring stuff. He did say that “Sales is doing great…” and that June ad sales are up.
