Bounced in B-More
/Reporter Mike Schuh has worked almost 3 decades at CBS’s WJZ in Baltimore.
Yesterday, he was told Friday would be his last day. He was just one of the people working at WJZ to be told he is no longer needed.
Schuh broke a lot of stories over the years and now almost 3 decades of experience walks about the door with just one layoff.
To his credit Schuh is taking the high road. “I am proud of the work I do and have done, and the people I’ve worked with,” Schuh told the Baltimore Sun. Referring to WJZ, he said, “They have treated me well. It’s been a good run.”
You think after giving a station almost 30 years of your life, you would get to go out on your terms. But, this is TV news and this is CBS.
Schuh got a little too old and made a little too much money and in today’s TV news, that gets you a ticket on the pink slip express.
