/CBS News has basically become the gang that can’t shoot straight.
The company shut down CBS Broadcast Center after some employees tested positive for COVID-19 and while you think it would have been opened up after a deep clean, the network has basically shut it down for weeks.
FTVLive has been telling you that in the midst of a global pandemic, CBS has been farming out their weekend network newscasts to affiliates, many of which are in last place in the ratings.
This week, CBS could not even get their main newscast on the air after they suffered a major technical meltdown that left viewers and CBS affiliates wondering what the hell was happening?
Insiders say that CBS Anchor Norah O’Donnell does not want anyone else on her DC set and that is one of the reasons that the network is farming out their weekend newscast. They might normally do the weekend news from NY, but Broadcast Center is still closed.
Others say that CBS is farming out the news to send a message to the union members that they can do the news without them if they have to.
It seems that CBS is lost and their product is suffering because of it. Sources inside the network say that CBS President Susan Zirinsky is in way over her head and the network is like a rudderless ship in stormy waters.
