Just About Done

Back in March, FTVLive FIRST told you that longtime WESH (Orlando) Meteorologist Amy Sweezey was going to be leaving the Hearst station.

She is signing off from the station on Friday and has no hard set plans.

“I have a couple of things that I'm working on. Some things are writing, some things are speaking, some things are teaching, author events, things like that,” she told the Orlando Sentinel.

“I don't have a full-time job, but I didn't want one. That was kind of the whole point, was to free up my schedule, free up my life, then hang with my kids for the summer and then, hopefully, life goes back to sort of normal by the fall,” she said.

Sweezey says her “official” WESH goodbye will be at the end of the 6:30 a.m. half-hour of “Sunrise” on Friday.
