His Last Cast

Earlier this month, FTVLive told you that longtime WCVB (Boston) Anchor Randy Price was signing off at the end of the book.

Today is the last day of May ratings and that means it is Price’s last day to do the newscast. He posted a Facebook video early this morning as he prepared for his last newscast.

“I just turned off my alarm clock for the last time ever,” Price said in the video.

What is interesting is Price is homecasting into the station and he is doing so from his home in South Carolina.

I bet if you asked him a few months ago if he thought he would be anchoring his last ever newscast for the Boston TV station while sitting in his house in South Carolina, he would have thought you were crazy.

The rona has really changed the way we do the news.
