Back in February, WILX (Lansing) Anchor Barrett Tryon announced that he had skin cancer and said that he would “beat it.”

It appears that he is doing well in his cancer fight, but don’t look for him on the Gray station anymore.

Tryon took to social media to say that he is not coming back to the station and says that he can’t talk about why that is?

You know, because, the communications business.

Here’s his post:

Editor’s note; We have changed the headline of this story to reflect that Tryon is not coming back to the station. Gray Television reached out and while they could not give us details they say that Tryon,” left the station on his own volition.”

We have updated the headline to say that.
