Today’s inbox is an email sent to FTVLive but is an open email to Tegna CEO Dave Lougee from a frustrated Tegna staffer.

Dear Dave/My GM,

You have never met me and probably won’t ever. I work for the smallest station your company owns. I’ve been disappointed by the way this situation has been handled by my station and the company. My GM would blame you (Dave) for being the reason we were still working at the station in close quarters. If this is the case, would the company care if I came down with COVID-19?

Our station has been and continues to be tossed around. I’m glad that COVID-19 is at least allowing our voices to be heard. Recently, I talked with my GM about my concerns, and his eyes just glazed over. He just shakes his head and blames “corporate”. He tells me, “My hands are tied. This is corporate not me...” He has and continues to lie to save his own job and for employees to like him. I’m here to work, learn and to move on.

Sorry to vent, but it needs to be said. This company isn’t what my GM sold me.
