CBS Continues to Farm Out their News to Affiliates

While viewers are tuning into the newscasts for information on the global pandemic, CBS News continues to farm out their weekend evening newscasts to local CBS affiliates.

Last week, CBS had last-place Atlanta affiliate WGCL do the newscast and this week, it’s WUSA in DC that gets a shot.

While Norah O’Donnell’s set sits in Washington, DC, CBS will use WUSA Anchor Lesli Foster and the WUSA studio as the backdrop for the weekend edition of CBS Evening News.

I guess it’s a good thing that the Tegna station is using a real news anchor and not their resident comedian turned TV anchor Reese Waters do the network news.

It would have been so Tegna to have a comic do the CBS Evening News while wearing a Donkey Kong t-shirt.

I guess WUSA saves that crap for their morning newscasts. Come on Tegna, if the comic is good enough for your viewers, shouldn’t the people watching the network get a taste of Tegna?

Just saying…
