Yesterday, FTVLive told you that some staffers at KUSI in San Diego have reached out to FTVLive to say that the station owners are not treating the coronavirus seriously.

One former staffer has contacted the San Diego health dept director to voice their concerns about the station’s lack of action in regards to COVID-19.

One insider says that news management said that, “working from home is a joke.”

The station has been sacking staff and one source says that this started happening prior to the pandemic.

A source tells FTVLive that the McKinnon‘s (owner of KUSI) had been courting buyers pre-Covid and were trying to trim overhead to be more appealing.

The insider says that over 50 people have been trimmed from the payroll and all managers have been told they have to take a pay cut.

One newsroom source says that if you speak up about concerns, the station looks to fire you.

Stay tuned….
