And Now We Know....
/Yesterday, FTVLive posted a story about how WKYC, the Tegna station in Cleveland had posted a job for a Meteorologist and we asked who was leaving?
Sources tell FTVLive that Michael Estime is leaving the station.
Estime joined the station 4 years ago, coming from WTVQ Lexington, Kentucky.
Word is that he will sign off around May.
As for the Tegna station that rebranded their news shows into shit like, “Go!”, “What’s New” and “Front Row” word is the Feb book was not kind to them.
“Strange what happens when you put someone in charge with zero local news experience,” said one station insider to FTVLive.
The insider added, “The egos of the people in charge are way too big to admit failure.”
I can assure you this isn’t the only station in that boat. For some reason, TV news management never wants to admit to making a mistake and they will ride their mistakes right into the ground.
Sadly, they just might find out that admitting every now and then that they were wrong, will give them more credibility with the staff and they can fix the mistakes they made.
It’s not that hard, but the egos in this business are harder than granite.
