When PBS fired Tavis Smiley over allegations to sexual misconduct, Smily turned around and sued PBS for firing him.

The two sides went to court and let’s just say that Smiley is not smiling at the outcome.

A jury sided with PBS and now Smiley is being told to cough up around $2 million bucks to PBS.

The jury said that Smiley breached a morals clause of his contract and his firing was justified.

More importantly it shows that men in power need to stop harassing women in the workplace and if you looking for a reason as to why? Ask Tavis Smiley, he has about 2 million reasons why.

“We are pleased with the jury’s decision,” a PBS said. “PBS expects our producing partners to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect. It was important for us to ensure that the courageous women who came forward were able to share their stories, and we continue to uphold the values and standards of our organization.”
