Great Job Steve!

Mark Byamugisha is 34 years old and has autism.

With so many things changed right now and places closed and social distancing it is tough, but it is even tougher for people with autism that rely on routines.

The self-isolating at home with his parents has been hard on Mark, who likes to go by the name Mark B. One big part of Mark’s routine has been watching WJLA (DC) weatherman Steve Rudin.

So Mark’s sister reached out to Rudin to help and Rudin recorded a message solely for Mark.

After getting his message from Rudin, Mark’s sister says that he is doing better and understands a bit more about why his world has changed.

Steve also gave Mark B an on-air shoutout and he even got a bit choked up while doing so:

FTVLive gives big props to Steve for taking time out to help a single viewer.

That is simply awesome!
