We have to send out big props to WVIT (Hartford) Chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.

On Friday, FTVLive pointed out that Hanrahan was one of the many TV newsies that placed an Emmy in the background of their homecasting setup (see above).

But, after FTVLive posted the story, Hanrahan removed the Emmy from the shot, realized that at this point in time, “all about me TV” was shallow and narcissistic.

Props to the guy for doing that.
