Christian Broadcaster Makes Play for Tegna

While Gray has pulled their offer to buy the Tegna stations a new offer appears to be coming in from the heavens.

Religious broadcaster Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) says that they are now interested in acquiring Tegna.

TBN is teaming up with investment firm The Najafi Cos.to make a play for Tegna.

“The group believes a successful bid would create significant value to Tegna’s shareholders, while as a private company under Najafi and TBN, Tegna would have the opportunity and flexibility to execute a long-term value creation strategy, free from the pressures of managing short-term public shareholder objectives,” the companies said in a released statement.

TBN is run by Matt and Laurie Crouch (pictured) and if you’re not familiar with them, you might want to Google search Matt Crouch who is worth north of $20 million dollars.

Seems the Lord’s work pays really well.

Let us pray….
