Joking About Rape (Hopefully it's a Joke)

Joel Franco works at WSVN in Miami as a Social Media Producer and has a large following on Twitter.

Now, you would hope that when a station is hiring a "Social Media Producer” that they might look at the person’s social media before doing so.

Let’s look back at some of Franco’s tweets in the past:

It seems that WSVN’s Social Media Producer likes to talk about raping women, it at least likes to joke about.

When Franco was confronted with his past tweets, he quickly deleted them and posted this statement on his Twitter:

You can trying chalking it up to people saying stupid things, although when you post about rape over and over, I think there might be some underlying issues.

But, if you are taking a job at a TV station and in their social media department, don’t you think that you should, you know, look at your own social media?

I’m thinking Official Joel F, might be officially unemployed.
