The Memo from Perry Sook

Nexstar CEO Perry Sook has been mostly quiet since the coronavirus hit the U.S. He did tell shareholders that he thought the coronavirus would be good for Nexstar because people would be stuck in their homes and would watch more TV.

Some Nexstar employees have reached out to FTVLive, saying that Nexstar has not sent down corporate guidelines as to sick days and PTO time off for people that either get the coronavirus or must self-quarantine due to possible exposure.

While the CEO’s of most TV groups have sent out memos about what the company is doing, sources say Sook has not sent out anything to the entire company.

The CEOs of Taco Bell, Chick-fil-a, Target and others sent emails out to both the staff and customers and yet the head of the biggest TV group has not.

Perry Sook did send an email 8 days ago to the station GM’s in which he said that if people cough, they should do so in their hand.

That is exactly not what the CDC advises people to do. They advise that you cough into your arm and not your hand.

Here is the email soon sent to the GM’s and obtained by FTVLive:
