A New York news executive emails FTVLive and said he was shaking his head over what was happening.

“Gov. Andrew Cuomo is doing a news conference talking about everything from restaurants, movie theaters to schools about to be closed statewide. This is perhaps the most significant information that will affect millions. WNBC, WNYW, WABC ad WPIX are carrying the news conference. WCBS is airing “The Price is Right.”

WCBS has been dealing with issues since a number of CBS employees have tested positive for COVID-19, but the idea that they are not talking a major press conference is head-scratching, to say the least.

It seems that in the No. 1 market at a network O&O, they were not even close to being prepared for an event like what is happening right now.

China, Italy and other countries showed us what was coming our way and it appears that WCBS didn’t prepare.
