A couple of years ago, FTVLive told you that WXYZ Anchor Stephen Clark was retiring and going to focus and his song writing.

Shortly after announcing that retirement, Clark took a morning radio job at Detroit’s WOMC radio.

Now, for the second time her is retiring.

This was his post to social media:

BREAKING NEWS: I now resume my regularly scheduled retirement. Today is my last day on the WOMC morning show.

Two years ago, shortly after I announced my retirement from Channel 7, WOMC came to me with an offer to do the morning show in hopes of moving into a competitive position. I had plans to focus more on my music in Nashville....but, hey, I like a challenge.

With the awesome team of JoAnne, Jason, Julia and me in just two years we are now consistently in the top tier of morning shows... but I still have a music career to focus on and getting up every morning at 4:30 doesn't mesh well with the late-night nature of live music.

That said, I plan to combine my new radio skills, my TV experience and my love of original music on a few projects that get me closer to my music goals. Plus there's a good chance you'll hear me filling in on WOMC and our sister station WYCD in the months to come.

Before I sign off for the second time...I want to thank all you listeners who made every morning a blast... and especially those of you who followed JoAnne and me over from Channel 7 and proved there is a place for upbeat, good news and fun on Detroit's airwaves.
