Remains Found

Back in October, FTVLive told you that News 12 Connecticut Reporter Frank Recchia’s brother Peter went missing and he was with pleading viewers to try and help find him.

"Please know Peter that you're loved, you're treasured. Whatever you're going through, we can go through it better together. We hope you're home safely soon," said Frank Recchia said at the time.

A Silver Alert for Peter Recchia’ was issued, but eventually police called off the search.

Sadly, this story does not end well as the body of Peter Recchia was found this week.

Police say a hunter discovered Peter Recchia's remains Sunday evening in the woods in Wallingford near the Wilbur Cross Parkway.

His backpack and wallet were nearby.
