Copy and Paste

Insiders at Sinclair’s KOKH (Oklahoma City) are being told to post more content, more often on the station’s website.

It seems that KOKH staffer Brandon Martin has figured out how to speed up the process.

Martin posted this story to the station’s website, which reads basically word for word as this press release from the Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter’s website.

The story is basically a direct copy and paste. Even the headlines match.

What service is your station doing if they are just cut and pasting press releases and not doing any real reporting?

Maybe have the staff post less content, but do real reporting.
