It is an end of an era for the news business….

The news that Anne Cox Chambers, the owner of owner of Cox Enterprises has died at 100 years old.

FTVLive spent over 4 years working at a Cox station and it was one of the best companies in the TV business to work for.

Anne Cox and the company believed that news was news and did not like gimmicks and fluff. It was refreshing and nowadays it is almost never done that way anymore.

The Cox way was to report the story, leave your opinion out of it and don’t make it about you.

The Cox stations have now been gobbled up by a hedge fund and cuts are happening as the new company Apollo subscribes to the new way of doing news…..do more with less.

Anne Cox Chambers really did her best to make the world a better place and she certainly help make TV news better.

She will be missed.
