The Arrogant Idiots at one Miami Station

This has nothing to do with the Super Bowl last night in Miami, but it does involve a Miami station.

When Kobe Bryant’s chopper crashed in California, WPLG in Miami in a rush to be first, but not correct, tweeted out this:

The information was not right and after it proved to be wrong, WPLG tried to pass the buck.

In their tweet that used the word “reportedly” but never sourced a report. Was it their Reporter that is claiming that Bryant and all his kids had died?

Once the info wasn’t correct, WPLG got testy when a few viewers tried to call out the station.

The arrogance was shocking from a TV station that relies on viewers to make money.

So, basically, using WPLG’s logic we can say basically anything, as long as you use the word “reportedly” in your report with no reference.

Sources tell FTVLive that the person that was responsible for these arrogant tweets has been fired.

But, in reality, this is just another example of the arrogance from this Miami station.

By the way, if your station ever tweets incorrectly information which mistakes can happen, do not handle it like WPLG.

Apologize for the mistake, promise and try to do better and remember that the viewers are your customers.

Also, “Reportedly” WPLG owner Warren Buffet is sick of it and is going to replace all the news management at the station.

Not that we’re saying that is happening, but “reportedly” it is.

Have an amazing day.
