Jackson, Mississippi was just hit with historic flooding and one Jackson news viewer tells FTVLive that, “but one thing was noticeably absent: the WLBT news chopper. It didn't appear once.”

Word is that the station has grounded the chopper.

Guess it is no longer, “an essential member of the WLBT news team.”
