Cox Re-ups with Fox

It appears that Apollo Global Management subsidiary Cox Media Group has renewed its vows with Fox.

Cox and Fox agreeing to a new multi-year agreement to retain affiliation on 4 stations, including Boston's WFXT 25, which has seen some struggles since Fox sold it in late 2014, and recent rumblings of Ed Ansin's WHDH 7 possibly looking to take Fox affiliation. 

Cox's Fox affiliation renewal also covers Jacksonville, Memphis, and Tulsa, and no word on former Northwest Broadcasting stations Cox recently acquired via Cox's recent acquisition by Apollo. 

Without network affiliation, WHDH manages to remain a solid second, behind Hearst's WCVB 5 in local news ratings.
