Buffalo Anchor is on the Bench for the Book

The important Feb book is in full swing and Scripps owned WKBW in Buffalo is missing a main Anchor.

Jeff Russo has been M-I-A from the last place station and some have wondered what’s up?

Russo Is off the air after breaking his ankle in six places after taking a spill while ice skating with his children back in late January.

“The ankle needed surgery to put it all back together,” News Director Rob Heverling said. “We all talk with Jeff regularly. He is anxious to get back. We are ready for Jeff to get back, too.”

It looks like Russo will miss the entire Feb book.
