It was in the Damn Press Release

Last Thursday at 3:02PM the Cleveland Browns sent out a press release saying that season ticket prices were going to go up.

Here is a portion of the email that Cleveland Browns Communications Senior Manager Rob McBurnett sent the Cleveland media with included Tegna’s WKYC:

31 minutes after the WKYC got that press release, they posted the story to their website saying that a “source” says that the Browns are going to raise ticket prices.

Technically, Rob McBurnett the Browns PR guy is a source, but he sent the release to everyone. I guess, because it’s ratings, WKYC wants it to sound like they launched an investigation and had sources deep inside the Cleveland Browns organization.
