Hours after FTVLive posted the news in a Patron Only story, WRC (DC) confirmed what FTVLive FIRST reported.

Former WTTG (DC) Anchor Shawn Yancy, who FTVLive FIRST reported was leaving the Fox O&O, is headed across the street to WRC, starting next month. FTVLive told you weeks ago that you could bet on Yancy popping up at the NBC station.

“Shawn’s years of experience covering news in the Washington area is just one reason she will be a fantastic addition to our newsroom,” said Mike Goldrick, vice president of news. “She has established herself as a smart, credible journalist who understands the importance of engaging with our community on all platforms.”
