While Nexstar is trying to gouge viewers for more money to watch their stations, they appear set to spend a lot of money on some plants.

The Nexstar stations have fallen off of the Dish network and the company is demanding that Dish pay them more money per subscriber for the right to continue to carry their stations.

While all that is happening, Nexstar’s WSAV in Savannah, GA is looking to spend over $10,000 to spruce up the gardens around the station.

FTVLive obtained an estimate that a local landscaping company sent WSAV this month quoting over $10 grand to put in some new plants and some fertilizer.

$800 alone to put a palm tree next to the station, with no guarantee of it surviving.

I guess that retrans money is being put to good use….right?
