Back in November, FTVLive told you that longtime WNYT (Albany, NY) Jim Kambrich was going to be leaving the station to join his wife in New York City.

As Kambrich walks out the door, the station has already found his replacement on the anchor desk.

Mark Mulholland will step in Kambrich’s shoes as the station’s new main Anchor.

“Mark has been a dedicated and effective force on our reporting team, striving to get the story first and right. His commitment to helping the community through Kelly’s Angels and other causes makes him a perfect choice to join our strong anchor team, alongside the caring and passionate work of Benita Zahn and Elaine Houston,” said WNYT GM Stephen Baboulis.

“I’m honored to have the privilege of following Jim and sitting in the seat in which Ed Dague made NewsChannel 13 a part of everyone’s daily routine,” said Mulholland. “If I succeed, it’ll be because of the extraordinary team of broadcast journalists we have — behind the camera and in front of it.”

If he fails….well…. that will be on him.
