Bad Night for TV in DC
/It was not a good Saturday for a couple of DC TV stations.
It seems that NBC’s WRC had a technical meltdown and to say it was a rough newscast would be a bit of an understatement.
At one point there was a shot of a portion of the WRC set and nothing else. After sitting on the shot for about a minute, they went to a commercial break. One viewer tells FTVLive that the newscast started out with 5 minutes of straight commercials and promos, finally came on the air, only to go back to a long ad break.
They finally came back with Anchor Erika Gonzalez going live from the newsroom, but there were still problems when she tried to toss to a package.
Later the station had Weather Anchor Somara Theodore also sitting in front of the flash camera in the newsroom.
Meanwhile, things were not going great to Sinclair’s WJLA. This was the scene at another DC Trump rally as supporters continue to march for the lame duck President.
