Time to open up the old email and see what is coming in to FTVLive….

Email 1:

Scott,

Today (12/9) the U.S. logged at least 3,054 deaths of the coronavirus.

For perspective, that surpasses the 9/11 death toll of 2,977.

It is context and a tragic milestone that should have led newscasts of all caliber tonight -- small markets, large markets, networks... but sadly, it did not.

Those numbers. Those facts. That data deserved to be seen by news viewers in their most simplest terms.

You've constantly hounded the Trump administration for its failure in action and leadership when it comes to this pandemic (and rightfully so).

I urge you to use your voice to ensure that producers, managers, and journalists do not fail to see forest for the trees.

The weight of this pandemic is only getting worse, drastically, by the day: cases, strained ICUs, deaths, families whose lives are changed forever. It is not a cliche to say that "there are empty seats at the dinner tables" this holiday season, because it's fucking true.

Except Scott, I argue this is worse than 9/11.

After 9/11, we were united as a country. We were together.

Now? We could not be more separated. And that scares me more than the circulation of this deadly virus.

Tens of millions of Americans, amplified by our "leader," proudly going against science, reason, and human decency -- all for the sake of partying up in bars and nightclubs.

My blood is boiling the longer I type, so I'll pause here.

Another email about the story we did in which Ft. Lauderdale was named the least safest city. This one comes from Lenny Cohen who used to live in South Florida and worked at WSVN.

Email 2:

For what it's worth, the only time I've been beaten and mugged (not at gunpoint) was picking up a friend at the Golden Glades Tri-Rail station in January, 2005. And you have written numerous articles on different cities as help for journalists, who tend to move around too much. Offering a series of lists with links to all of your readers for whatever their concern may be should be met with a thank you, except possibly from the Fort Lauderdale tourism folks. It's almost like Trump sheep not accepting the results of the election. At least in this case, there are different lists from different companies. If they're not happy, let them do their own research.

This one was posted on our Patron comments about WGCL in Atlanta:

Some CBS46 anchors are way too mean on social media. one anchor in particular like to post daily selfies in pretty Walmart clothes and borrow designer bags. CBS46 aired too many unimportant stores just for laughs. When I was following I noticed one too many bear stories. CBS46 social media account was more informative than their own news. Some old news of what I read I realized that there was always a very high turn over of employees at that station. I will never know if these employees left on their own or not. I like FTVLive for calling out things that should be called out in the news industry. Other networks would never have the guts to say it. BRAVO FTVLive and you get $5.99 from me monthly and I wish I could pay more! It's well deserved!
