Bye Bye Pai
/Well, we finally got some good news in the media industry.
When Donald Trump leaves the White House kicking and screaming on inauguration day, thankfully U.S. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai is going with him.
Pai said he’ll leave the agency Jan. 20.
Pai help oversee the dismantling net neutrality regulations and the consolidation of the TV industry.
With fewer companies owning more stations it is bad for viewers, advertisers and those looking to work in the industry as jobs are eliminated when companies consolidate.
Big media companies enjoyed having Pai and his relaxed rules, but many would agree as a whole, he was not good for the industry.
Ajit Pai is leaving and taking his giant coffee cup with him on the way out.
Good riddance.
