OK, this is a bit odd.

Tegna’s First Coast News in Jacksonville, FL, posts a story on its website about a shooting that happened in Jacksonville.

But, looking at the byline of the story, you see it is written by someone at Tegna’s WUSA in Washington, DC.

But wait, there’s more.

The story then goes on to cite information from Cox’s Action News Jax, a main competitor of First Coast News.

So, the story about the shooting in Jacksonville is written by a station in DC and used information from a competitor across the street.

Talk about lazy.
