Perfect Timing

Savannah Guthrie drew rave reviews for her handling of Donald Trump in a town hall hosted by NBC and it looks like it’s going to pay off.

Guthrie’s contract with NBC is coming up and it appears that she might be in for a huge pay raise.

Page Six writes that Guthrie signed a contract extension in December 2016, shortly after the last presidential election, and was rumored to be getting $8 million a year.

It is nowhere near the reported $20 million-a-year deal that Matt Lauer was believed to be making.

But now, with her deal coming up, it is likely that Guthrie is going to be getting a big pay bump. I doubt she will get near the Lauer money as the economics of TV salaries have changed drastically.

But, FTVLive would not be surprised to see Guthrie ink a new deal around the $11 to12 million-dollar mark.
